ISLAMABAD: The 68th death anniversary of Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, was observed on Sunday.
Acting President and Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah along with members of the provincial cabinet and Deputy Mayor of Karachi Dr Arshad Vohra visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam and paid their tribute. Representatives of the three armed services laid wreaths at the mausoleum on behalf of their respective chiefs. They also offered prayers. People from various walks of life visited the mausoleum of the great Quaid in Karachi and paid their tributes. The Nazriya Pakistan Council held a special prayer at the Faisal Mosque. Ambassadors of various countries attended the event. Meanwhile, various organisations arranged seminars and ceremonies to pay homage to the Quaid-i-Azam.
